Service Asset & Configuration Management Objective according to ITIL® Service Transition - ST 4.3.1. IncidentMonitor™ Service Asset & Configuration Management (SA&CM) is a fully integrated solution provided as part of the IncidentMonitor™ framework. Unlike most other Oplossingen in the market, IncidentMonitor™ SA&CM was not an after though and does not have the configuration problems and high cost associated with integrated or multiple technology-based SA&CM Oplossingen.

Leverage the underlying security model within IncidentMonitor™, you can define access rights based on CI types.
IncidentMonitor™ SA&CM allows you to define and document the relationships between CIs.
IncidentMonitor™ SA&CM goes further, in that it allows you do define physical and virtual lines of business documenting the underlying CIs and their relationships.
IncidentMonitor™ supports consumable CIs, including the association with non-consumable CIs
When an issue arises for a CI within the line of business, you can see and perform an impact analysis using a graphical view of the line of business.
IncidentMonitor™ SA&CM is tightly integrated with all other ITIL® processes. For example, the CI record cannot be changed unless it is linked to a Change Request. CIs can be associated with a request in any ITIL® process. From the CI record you can view all requests, across all ITIL® processes that are linked to the CI, thereby providing a 360 degree view of the CI and impact of the CI within your environment!
